Cathedral Plaza

The buildings to the left and right are now the Windgate Visual Art Buildings, but orginally they housed the Library and Science Department. Together with the Cathedral of the Ozarks, they represent JBU’s threefold mission of Head, Heart, Hand.

Situated in front of the Cathedral of the Ozarks, the “Living Water” fountain features three bowls that symbolize the Trinity and echo the mission of JBU. The words of John 7:37-38 wrap the fountain: “Jesus stood and cried out, saying, ‘If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.’”
