Information

The original bridge was built from iron in 1909. The Harding family is one of the most well-known families to come from the Olmsted Falls area. Charles Harding was a hero who fought in World War II and died in the Battle of Normandy. He was the brother of Amelia and Clara Harding. This bridge was built by the Amish, a group of religious people who live a very basic, technology-free lifestyle in parts of Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Indiana. It measures 108 feet long. It was dedicated on August 9, 1998. The Olmsted Falls High School football stadium is also named after Charles Harding, who graduated from OFHS in 1933.
