A harness shop was like an auto mechanic, but before there were cars. At this location, Chauncey Mead sold, fitted, and maintained horse harnesses. In 1883, it became a dress shop owned by Gerie Mead. It then became a gas station in 1927. In the 1970s, Clint Williams renovated the building to serve as his real estate company’s office, which helped restore and preserve many of the historical buildings in downtown Olmsted Falls. If you look closely and use your imagination, you can almost imagine what it would looked like.
