Chester's Mill was a small town in the State of Maine. When the Dome came down, the town was cut off from the outside world. Chester's Mill had a population of approximately 2,000 people. A lot of the filming for Chester's Mill took place here in Burgaw, North Carolina.
The courthouse was used as the Chester's Mill Police Station and Town Hall.
This corner was used for the gallows where the town was planning to hang Barbie, the mysterious Iraq War veteran visiting Chester's Mill.
Southport was used for many of the waterfront scenes featured on the show, and Wilmington, where sets of the interior of several homes and frequented establishments on the show were built.
