This museum is a post–Civil War fort & museum with exhibits on historic regiments & an array of military artifacts.

The shield and shield cover of Chief Satanta are on loan to the Fort Sill National Historic Landmark and Museum from the Hearst Museum (Berkely, CA). They are currently in storage while the Native American gallery undergoes major renovation, but will be back on display once that is completed.

Contact the museum first to confirm which items are currently on display, as they, like most museums, rotate their collection.
