Welcome to the Children’s Farm.
When the Sedgwick County Zoo opened in 1972, it opened with two exhibits: the American Farm and the Asian farm. Now called The Children’s Farm, it’s home to more than 40 different breeds of animals. The interactive petting area allows guests to get up close and personal with our goats and sheep. Many of the animals here are heritage breeds, which means they are bred in order to keep the species from disappearing, rather than to produce the maximum number of animals possible.
