Choice Neighborhood Area

This is the Choice Neighborhood Area for the Cleveland Avenue Transformation Plan, part of a $30 million dollar grant recently awarded to the Housing Authority of Winston-Salem from HUD to revitalize East Winston-Salem.

Habitat Forsyth is thrilled to be a partner on this important project as we are committed to building twenty homes in the area over the next six years.

The Cleveland Avenue Transformation Plan calls for the replacement of Cleveland Avenue homes with new housing similar to those you saw in the Kimberly Park Terrace Hope VI project around Glenn Oaks and will also include school improvements at Ashley Elementary, a new library branch, new retail space for shops and restaurants, community center and other amenities if fully actualized.
