Cohen Center

Description

The Cohen center is basically a “hub” here at FGCU. The Cohen Center meets all of student’s needs, from student evolvement and entertainment, to school supplies and dining. This place offers a bunch of different programs, activities and services that give a great example of the University as a whole. The Cohen center is also a great place to just relax and hang out, you can do homework at the picnic tables and get a great view of the lake that is just outside. Located in the Cohen Center is Jamba Juice, Brahma, Einstein Bros, Chick fila, and Papa Johns, along with other snacks in the vending machine inside of the FGCU Bookstore, everything is right there for you. Inside the Cohen Center there is also televisions hanging on the walls that keep you up to date with all of the newest FGCU news, including games and events that are coming up.

To encourage student involvement, the Office of Student Involvement, Student Government and the Office Greek Life are available just up the stairs in Cohen. Other offices located in the Cohen Center include the Campus Reservations, Division of Student Affairs, Career Services, Business Operations and the Multicultural Services offices.

After turning off of Ben Hill Griffin Road, continue straight until you hit the T in the road and go left. Keep following the road around until you reach parking lot 5 on the right. Park and walk into the Cohen Center!

Access:

The Cohen Center is open on weekdays Mondays - Friday 7:00 am to 10:00 pm and on weekends Saturday- 10:00 am to 8:00 pm and Sunday 12:00 am - 10:00 pm. To enter the building, you don’t need any sort of identification, if you are buying books for class they may ask you for your Eagle Id card. In the Cohen Center there are multiple services being offered to you as a student.

The bookstore is open on Monday- Thursday 8:00 am to 6:00 pm,

Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Saturday 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, and on Sundays they are closed.

Einstein Bagels is open Monday- Thursday (7:00 am - 6:00 pm),

Friday (7:00 am - 4:00 pm), Saturday (10:00 am - 4:00 pm), and

Sunday (12:00 pm - 5:00 pm).

Papa John's is open Monday- Thursday (10:00 am - 10:00 pm) and

Friday (10:00 am - 4:00 pm).

Brahma is open Monday - Thursday (10:00 am - 7:00 pm) and

Friday (10:00 am - 6:00 pm) and weekends there closed.

Chick-fil-a is open Monday - Thursday (7:00 am to 10:00 pm) and

Friday (7:00 am - 6:00 pm) and weekends there closed.

Jamba Juice Monday thru Thursday (7:00 am - 5:00 pm) and

Friday (7:00 am - 4:00 pm) and weekends there closed.

1. What it is the most important place for first year students to know about?
   1. The Cohen Center in general is a very important building for incoming freshmen, even orientation is located at the Cohen Center. Freshmen will be given an ID card in eagle id office next to the bookstore.
   2. Also, for many classes here at FGCU require books for the class. The bookstore is located in the Cohen Center.
