Common Chokecherry
Rosaceae
Prunus
Virginiana
The Common Chokecherry tends to grow in clearings, areas of forest that were decimated, allowing the Common Chokecherry to bring plant life back to the area. Along State Route 32, there is a dirt road on the right, and down that dirt road is where you will find the Common Chokecherry. It is along the dirt road, and is a little difficult to spot since it is mixed in ith other tree species that are growing next to it. I included this tree due to its importance of restoring plant life to decimated areas of woodlands.
