Conservatory of Music

Visit the Conservatory of Music’s auditorium that is patterned from the Gewandhaus Opera Hall that was formally located in Leipzig, Germany. Located to the west in the Conservatory’s lobby is a choir historical display that includes the 2019 Mayo International Choral Festival Premier Competition international championship trophy that was won by the Saint Mary-of-the-Woods’ Madrigals, a premier student choir ensemble, while in Ireland. Also included in the display is a triptych of professional photos of the Madrigals visiting/singing in Italy and the Vatican. A signed document celebrating a performance in the Basilica of Saint Francis of Assisi in Assisi, Italy is also exhibited.
