Dairy Cattle Center
1875 Linden Drive
Built in 1954 and renovated in 2013
The Dairy Cattle Center is an 84-stall barn, home to some of the Department of Dairy Science’s research herd. Visitors are welcome to observe cows in the milking parlor during certain days and times (visit andysci.wisc.edu for a schedule).. On the second floor are classrooms, a meeting room, and living space for the student managers of the dairy. This serves as an instructional and research facility for the Department of Dairy Science, School of Veterinary Medicine, Farm and Industry Short Course, and U.S. Dairy Forage Center. The DCC is integrated with larger dairy facilities at the university’s Arlington and Marshfield Agricultural Research Stations where larger-scale research is done.
