The dock area down the hill toward the lake on your right was built to allow mobility limited patrons access to fishing. It is also a nice place for parents with strollers to give their kids an up close view of the ducks swimming in the lake. However, while it is tempting, the park staff requests that you please do not feed the ducks and geese. Most human food is not nutritious for the birds and the food that is not eaten can cause the growth of algae and other harmful microorganisms in the lake water (Micalizio, 2017).
