Eastern Black Rhinoceros range in color from dark brown to dark gray. Their skin color depends on the color of the soil where they live and how much they like to wallow in the mud. Their upper lip is pointed and prehensile, which allows them to grab twigs and brush. Rhinos are known for being extremely aggressive in the wild and may charge if they sense a threat. However, eastern black rhinoceros have poor eyesight and have sometimes been seen charging trees or boulders.
