American Elk can live for 15-20 years and are found in the mountains of North America. Male elk have antlers that can be up to 6 feet long and weigh up to 40 pounds. Their bugle, which sounds like a loud scream, can be heard from miles away. Females are attracted to males with loud, long bugle calls. Baby elk are spotted when they are born, but as they grow their fur becomes solid brown in color.
