The Embassy of the People's Republic of China deals with the interests of China in the Netherlands. On August 29, 2009, the embassy donated a stone called Xiuyan Jade to The World Peace Flame, a monument built on the initiative of Life Foundation International. The stone is now on display as part of the monument that can be seen in front of the gates of the Peace Palace later in the walk.
