The Embassy of the Republic of Iraq is engaged in promoting Iraqi interests in the Netherlands. The embassy also plays an important role in development cooperation, cultural affairs and contacts with the local press. In Iraq, the Netherlands works on migration, human rights, economic development and security. A special role was played by the embassy in 2018, when a delegation of Iraqi judges in the embassy took a two-day course on IS war criminal liability.
