The embassy of the Russian Federation has been engaged in promoting Russian interests in the Netherlands since 1945. The embassy also plays a role in development cooperation, cultural affairs and contacts with the local press. The building was owned by 2 families and the former Nazi state of Germany, after which Russia rented the building from the Fols brothers in the beginning, only to purchase the building in 1964.
