Following a tradition of innovation by engaging in cutting-edge exploration and development
Students in the Cornell Engineering partake in a fundamentally creavtive endeavor with a vast array of applications. They design, build, and test products, improve the world of medicine; inform and shape laws; create and drive businesses; and become research luminaries. With one of the broadest curricula in the world of engineering, the college offeres 13 majors, 15 minors, dozens of concentrations, and the option of creating an individual course of study. Students work together applying theorectical expertise in practical ways via research and group work. Student project teams create engergy-efficient, solar-powered homes (Solar Decathlon), robots to detect land mines (MineSweeper), and a 100-mpg car (Automotive X Prize competition).
