The current building sits on two lots whose original buildings have been demolished. The left side use to have a building that most notably housed the Log Cabin in for many years. The original building was built by O.J. Masters of Northome in 1909. Mr. Masters was an avid hunter and sportsman and through the years had trophies stuffed and mounted until the log walls were covered. The Tavern and pool hall soon became a tourist attraction. In 1945, the Masters' estate sold the property to Pat Kelly who operated it until 1948 when he sold to Turenne and Fred Monkholm. Monkholm closed the tavern in 1952 and moved most of its original contents to Neilville, Wisconsin. In 1952, Archie Olson bought the building and opened The Falls Bowling Center. He later sold to Russell Raboin who operated the Sportsman's Bar. Raboin sold the building to Earl Miller who owned it at the time it was torn down by the city. Now, the building will house the new Fire in the Icebox business.
