Built 1908
Nappanee's second bank was organized in June 1907. For $500 the old Nappanee House and Annex were purchased. The hotel was moved and the building of the bank began. Two years after its organization, the bank moved into its stately headquarters in January 1909.
There was a Bank Holiday in 1933 had all of Nappanee's financial institutes shutting their doors. Only one bank did not make it through their holiday. The First National Bank failed to survive the holiday. It was forced into the hands of receivers, for liquidation, in September 1933.
