Park buildings. Appleton City is very fortunate to have a nice park centrally located. Forest Park was provided by William Prier when he sold part of his 500 acre farm to the Appleton City Town Company for development. The park has been the site Chautauquas, concerts, fairs, picnics, guest speakers, Fourth of July celbrations, Stout baby shows, Car shows, Apple Festivals, and more...
War Memorial is also located on the South side of Forest Park. In 1944 the American Legion began fundraising efforts for this memorial to honor those in our community who lost their lives during war.
