Former site of the home of Frank Beckwith, an Indianapolis attorney, judge, and civil rights advocate. Beckwith was the first African American ever to run in a presidential primary. He was one of six men vying for the Republican presidential nomination in 1960.
The home currently on this site is a newly-constructed home. It carries many Arts and Crafts influences in its design as a way to match its surrounding neighborhood.
