Muncie's Friends community was established in 1869, in large part with the assistance of Joseph and Mary Goddard. In 1906 the congregation, now headed by the Goddards, moved into this building.[1] Designed by architects Wing and Mahurin, the Gothic Revival style church features Laurel stone and Bedford trim on the exterior. Over the years, only minor repairs and additions were made to accommodate the growing membership. The church continues to serve the community, offering programs including a food pantry.[2]
