The Fulton Public Library was built in 1905, it was designed and built with funds provided by Andrew Carnegie. Carnegie helped fund over 3000 libraries during his life and funded Fulton with $15,000 dollars for the building to be built. The books that were used to start this library came from the Falley Seminary, which was a school in Fulton that closed in 1883. This building was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1999. In 2012 the library started a project called the "Fulton Memoir Project" that has now led to 6 published books about the City of Fulton.
