  • In 1953, there was a Shek Kip Mei shantytown fire.

  • Although it was a Grade II listed structure, it was abandoned in 2005
  • In late 2013, it reopened as a youth hostel and museum
  • Heritage of Mei Ho House (HMHH) museum

  • Still construction projects for rehabilitation and upgrading
