1555 Observatory Drive
Built in 1910
Just east of Hiram Smith Hall, the annex was built to alleviate crowding and provide support for various dairy-related long courses. After the dairy program outgrew its space and moved to Babcock Hall in 1953, the annex was remodeled for the Department of Veterinary Science, which stayed until 1962 when it moved to what is now Hanson Biomedical Sciences Building. Poultry Science, operating out of a house on University Avenue, moved into the annex until the Animal Sciences building was completed in 1969. The annex now houses laboratories for the Department of Soil Science.
