One of several Meridian Park homes designed by local architect Clarence Martindale, this 1909 Mission Revival house was built for Dr. Louis Burckhardt, the city’s first non-American born doctor. Typical of the Mission Revival style are the mission parapet, quatrefoil window, and tile roof. The house formerly had a pergola across the front façade which has since been removed.
