Point of Interest Details

Named for its beloved first principal, Miss Martha Hitchcock, Hitchcock Hall was the forerunner of the Cayuga Heights Elementary School, located at 110 East Upland Road. It was a beautiful, rambling Tudor-style building in a park-like setting. Sadly, the era of urban renewal brought its demolition in 1968. The Ithaca City School District replaced it with the current building designed by Levatich & Miller, which has been added on to since.
