Hudson currently has two fire stations, the main fire department is on 296 Cox street and the other is on 1 Washington street, by Wood Square. The Hudson Fire Chief is John M. Blood. The fire department was built after the Great Fire in 1894; the fire station is still working today. The bay window at the fire department used to be a third door (see original photo)! These doors were originally meant for horse-drawn hose wagons!
