The Hudson Public Library was opened to the public in 1905 originally in the Town Hall, it served since 1905. The Hudson Public Library was built by a combination of well-known people. With the original room being small and not offering much to check out in the Hudson Town Hall, the need for a library was brought up in the town meeting and was given $1,500 to build. Andrew Carnegie's foundation then donated $12,500 to help get our library built. As the years went by, the library has expanded to accomodate our growing town.
