Humboldt Penguins spend up to 75% of their time in the water. Looking for a meal, they search the cool nutrient-rich water for small schooling fish to chow down on. To avoid predators, they sometimes huddle together under the water’s surface. These penguins live along rocky coastline cliffs, which provide protection and a space to nest. Being an agile jumper allows this penguin to maneuver up and down the treacherous cliffs.
