The library was dedicated May 6, 2000. The 83,000 square foot structure is named after James A. Cannavino, a long time member of the Marist board of trustees. The beautiful classical look of the library adds elegance to the campus. The library overlooks the campus green and the Hudson river. The library includes the special archives, the writing center, and a variety of IBM computer labs for student convenience. The lobby of the building includes a Starbucks cafe for students to grab some coffee before studying. The library is a hub for improving skills and finding the resources required to be successful.
