Kittrell was named for Major Marion Kittrell, a Confederate. Its most famous resident was legendary country music star Uncle Dave Macon. Uncle Dave Macon Days are held annually at Cannonsburgh Village, drawing “old-time” musicians and music lovers from around the country.
