1850-Built before the Civil War and was once a girls’ school. Used as a hospital during the Civil War caring for wounded soldiers from the battles of Shiloh, Corinth and Brice’s Crossroads. Former owner, Frances Brannic, avows to nighttime mysteries: “The distant sound of string music is heard very clearly in the house”.
