Information

This is the only remaining structure from the town of Huntsville. The wood has been core-dated to the fall of 1873, making the construction date possibly 1874.

The cabin was built by William Krull and later incorporated into a larger house.

The aerial photo from 1965 shows the house that was built around the original cabin. (swipe photo at top to see other images).

William Krull married Sarah Coberly, proprietress of the Coberly Halfway House, a very popular hotel in Huntsville. Later, the house was purchased by John Hammond who operated a turkey farm.
