Information

Originally known at Loew's State Theatre, the Landmark Theatre was first opened in February of 1928. To this day, there are numerous reports of sightings and audios of ghosts that are claimed to haunt the theatre. One of the more prominent spirits is that of a former actress of the theatre named Clarissa. She died by falling over the side of one of the balconies. Audience members and staff have claimed to see her ghostly apparition or smell her signature lilac perfume. Another active spirit is that of a stagehand named Oscar. He was accidentaly electrocuted one day while he was at work in the theatre. Numerous staff members have claimed to see him still attempting to mess with the lighting board backstage, just like he did the day that he died. The third major ghost is of a janitor named Charlie. Charlie was a janitor and caretaker of the building for a very long time and died of natural causes in the building. Many people have been known to see him taking the same amount of pride in his work as he did while he was alive.
