Macedonia AME Church

Historic Macedonia African Methodist Episcopal Church located at 300 N Walk St. in Burgaw NC; 141 years old.

Organized January 27, 1880. on the corner of North Walker and East Ashe Streets on one half-acre plot of land given by Wilmington and Weldon Railroad Company. Original site and structure maintain same architectural layout/design and windows. Member of the 2nd Episcopal District of Connectional A.M.E. Church which was founded by Freeman Richard Allen in 1787 in Philadelphia, PA.
