Maison Defeld 1907 - Architect: Victor Rogister
A very rationally designed house, where the facade of this house for hairdresser Defeld avoids monotony through the diversity per floor. The slenderness of the windows and bay windows emphasizes the vertical appearance, which is offset by horizontal bluestone decorations. The facade view is completed by the surfaces with spheres under the cornice and the sculpted heads on the ground floor.
The bay windows are crowned with semicircular bays whose small beams form a horseshoe arch reminiscent of Paul Hankar's Hotel Ciamberlani in Brussels (1897).
