The Man Mo Temple located in Hollywood road, Sheung Wan, which comprises three blocks, namely Man Mo Temple, Lit Shing Kung and Kung Sor. It was built in 1847 which was the oldest temple in Hong Kong. Also, it was built by rich Chinese merchants in Hong Kong and Sheung Wan was in heart of Chinese commercial and residential areas at that time. It was rebuilt to its current scale in 1851, was graded as a Grade One Historical Building by the Hong Kong Antiquities Advisory Board in 1994 and It was listed as a declared monument in 2010
In 1908, with the enactment of the Man Mo Temple Ordinance, the temple and its properties were entrusted to the care of Tung Wan Hospital.
