Mathew Hall House

The Mathew Hall house was built in 1879
Matthew farmed and also served as the supervisor of the Plank Road which ran through the city. The wooden plank road became Detroit Avenue.
It was later used as a nursing home and the YMCA.
Was sold the the City of Lakewood in the 1950s and was demolished to build Edwards Park.
The brick carriage house still stands north of the playground.
