This Mid-Century Modern building was originally designed and built by the Indianapolis Art League in 1962 to house the Center's art classes. The building remained in operation until the Art League moved to its present location in Broad Ripple in 1976 and was later renamed the Indianapolis Art Center. In 2012, after many years in which the building was used as a storage facility, the building was purchased and retrofitted by current owners Raginae Laughlin & Chip Heberden. It presently serves as home to several businesses including a pilates studio and a small business technology consulting firm.
