In 1868, the Port Jervis and Monticello Railroad was built. In 1895 , the line was leased to the New York Ontario and Western Railway (O&W). Today the O&W right of way and old structures remain visible in the city, despite the tracks having been removed. Look above to your left at the southern end of Barcelow Street to see the old O&W line.
