Information

On October 9, 1920, Fenway Park hosted the first open-air boxing show in Boston. The Boston Daily Globe described heavy weights McCreery and Lester as the only exciting boxers of the era. After the fight, Lester punched McCreery and the card drew 5,000 spectators.
