This small jail building was moved here from its original site (today, behind the Helix City Shop) after prisoners attempted to destroy it by burning the door off it. A new concrete jail was built to replace it and this building became Dr. McKinney's woodshed.
The building does not have a foundation and was built in the crib style where boards were laid face-to-face to form the walls.
The jail building is now a storage shed for a private residence.
