Boston and The Dual-Powered King of the South

Park St Church - Brimstone Corner

Boston, Massachusetts 02115, United States

Created By: Volunteer JW Boston

Information

1 Park St (See Old Granary and Puritans for Revolutionary History) It was built in 1809, well after the American Revolution and known as brimstone corner likely because the church basement once housed brimstone (a component of gunpowder) in its basement during the War of 1812.

Prior to being built it was a public Granary (See Old Granary)

What fruitage did these spiritual leaders produce? Mt 7:15-20. Consider John 17:16 vs Acts 20:29, 30. What would Jesus have said seeing this?

The church is currently known for advancing human rights and social justice including prison reform, women’s suffrage, slavery protests, and founding organizations such as the Boston Branch of the National Association for the Advancement of colored People, Animal Rescue League of Boston, Handel and Haydn Society and National Association of Evangelicals.
