Pitch Pine (Pinus rigida)

This tree stands just off to the right of the Black maple and stands in a cluster with three other species. These species are the common lilac, white spruce and hydrangea bush. This is one of my favoirte trees, in general I like all pines in the winter. It is so cool to see the snow sticking to the branches. It gives of a nice contrast between the green needles and the white snow.
