If you are looking for something special to do this summer, come join us on the Art Trail. The Arts Council~Haliburton Highlands is hosting an art trail, which will be located in public venues throughout the Highlands - just look for signs displaying the Renewal logo! The art trail showcases the amazing talent of our local artists.

This summer’s, county-wide art trail will focus on the theme of Renewal. The trail will feature artwork that evokes a sense of re-awakening in the Highlands, as we emerge from the isolation and restrictions of the Covid 19 pandemic. Our local artists have been busy in their studios over the past two and half years working with their chosen medium. It is now time to celebrate their efforts and they are excited to share their work with you.

28 visual and literary artists have each contributed one piece of work to this project. Artists have been paired with host venues that are accessible to the public and are located throughout the Haliburton Highlands. Each piece of art is accompanied by a narrative text, photos and possibly a video that engage and encourage the viewer to explore further, look deeper and learn more about the Haliburton Highlands.

The show will run from July 1st - October 15th. The show also invites you to visit venues that are now open for business and excited to welcome the public.

Tour the beautiful Haliburton Highlands either virtually or in-person and visit the host venues along the trail. Pick up a map guide brochure from the Arts Council office at 710 Mountain Street in Haliburton Village or from any of the host venues, libraries, municipal offices or municipal welcome centres. The brochure and the PocketSights app provide information on the host venue locations, the participating artists and inspirational insights. Come join us on the Trail!
