Cottinelli Telmo was not only the architect of the railways, but also the chief architect of the Portuguese World Exhibition in 1940 and co-architect of the most famous monument in Lisbon: 'O Padrão da Descoberta'. But Cottinelli Telmo was not only an architect. He was also the film director of the Portuguese film: 'A Canção de Lisboa', the editor-in-chief of the magazine Sphinx and so on, in short, a universal artist: ”designer, poet, actor, director and musician.
This railway station was the last one made for the 'Algarve Line' and therefore a lot more 'modern' than the other well-known stations.
Watch the trailer video above with an impression of Cottinelli Telmo's exhibition 'Os Arquitectos são Poetes também'
