The FGCU Recreation center has a lot of activities to keep you in shape and have fun.

Aquatic Center:

You can find your way to the aquatic center by leaving from the alico arena and taking FGCU Lake Pkwy, which will be the sidewalk next to the baseball field. You can take this straight across the parking lot. There will be doors in the front which you enter in. Using either your Eagle ID or paying a small fee.

  • Aquatics Center has a 50 meter swimming pool and a 25 yard pool/diving area. They provide swimming lessons, certification courses to become a lifeguard, a place for practices and meets as well.

Waterfront:

  • After you’ve finished your tour at Alico arena, you’re gonna want to take a left on the side of the building and go straight to the waterfront. Once you’re on this path you’ll want to head down the coast till you reach the building that we call the Recreations Center. This is where all of the students are free to rent beach equipment to water equipment.
  • With one reservation you can book yourself any of the following amenities: our campus boat, kayaks, paddle boards, jet skis, sailboats, beach equipment and more! With the ability to have all of these activities at the palm of your hand the options for fun are endless. On top of this on various days at North Lake Beach you can find activities like beach yoga, go swimming or play corn hole down by the shore. Anything beach related that you can think of, we have it! Just make sure you make a reservation ahead of time and it can all be yours.

      • Closed when temp is below 70 degrees
      • Closed when wind speeds are 18 mph or higher(as well as lightning being detected in 10 mile radius) and can re open 30 mins after last lightning strike occured.

Recreation Center/Alico Gymnasium:

  • The Rec Center/Alico Stadium is very easy to find, once you enter the campus you will go down FGCU Blvd and take a left onto FGCU Blvd North. Then, at the first stoplight take a left on FGCU Lake Parkway West, lastly you will turn right at the first stop sign and go all the way down FGCU Lake Parkway East. In order to get into the rec center you will need your eagle ID, or if you are a guest a 5 dollar fee for the day.
  • The Gymnasium is Home of the Eagles, where our hearts are just as big as our pride and love for the game. The games played in there are basketball and volleyball mainly. There are also intramurals that take place in this building and open court basketball games that anyone can participate in.
  • The Recreation Center has an amazing, fully equipped Fitness Center. Group Studios for various workouts. There is something for everyone at the gym and you can work out all aspects of your body.
    • For the group studios there are so many activities that you can participate in for example:
      • Ab Attack
      • Cycle
      • Cardio Kickboxing
      • Barre Fitness (Intense workout)
      • Lower Body Burn
      • And Many others….
