Across the river, opened in 2010 Red Bull Arena home of the New York Red Bulls for the Major League Soccer. December 2010 the stadium was named Project of the Year (Sports/Recreation) by Engineer News Record – New York.
Additionally, the development will not stop at the arena, but continue to the entire riverfront as well. Harrison plans to include an entertainment district and its own park/walkway. They plan to capitalize on the view that they will have of Newark. Our revitalization combined with their development will make this area a magnet for people.
